Established for more than 50 years – and with 45 million passengers using our systems worldwide every day – we deliver
the automated fare collection services which make public transport safer, more reliable and more convenient.
We are a leading partner in the TranSys consortium, which is responsible for implementing and maintaining Transport for
London’s Oyster smartcard. Launched in 1998, this £1.2 billion project was the largest
PFI deal in UK history.
The new system was installed alongside the existing one, which was then
decommissioned and removed. All of this was achieved without disrupting customer
services – and, crucially, without TfL losing any revenue.
Today, there are more than 2.1 million Oyster cards in use.
We’ve delivered over 400 projects in 40 major markets on five continents. Our end-to-end solutions include access
control gates, onboard validators, automatic ticket vending machines, terminals for sales agents, ticket initialisation
and recycling systems, as well as information systems for station, depot and central management, back office and
regional clearinghouse systems.
